Be a guardian — from this tab

Bitcoin and Ordinals make you sync for days before you may help. KRAY broke that. This page is the easy door: prove presence in the browser, earn the fee pool, key never leaves KrayWallet. Want the database on your own disk? That is door 2 — still ~10 minutes, not days. How to choose →
Door 1 · start herethis page

Light guardian

Join this network. No chain download. No bitcoind. No hardware.

  1. Install KrayWallet (Chrome). DevNet on if this node is regtest.
  2. Press Connect below, then Start validating.
  3. Same job from the wallet: KRAYNET tab → Start mining. Reward 1× (atlas → up to 3×).
Door 2 · the database

Full node

Your computer holds the journal and the star bytes. A phone cannot. The wallet is always a client of that process.

  1. Need Node.js 24+. Bitcoin Core is optional.
  2. Copy this network: node scripts/kray-follow.mjs --from http://localhost:4477
  3. Or run your own: node scripts/testnode.mjs — recipe at /docs#node.
Your proven work this beacon
Work is 2^(leading zero bits). Higher zeros = more compute = more reward. Linear, sybil-neutral — the Bitcoin rule.
Your balance
Paid from the fee pool on every confirmed Bitcoin seal — conserved ₭, never minted. Fee pool now:
Every distribution — who received
No settlement yet — the fee pool pays on the next confirmed Bitcoin seal.
Each row is one settlement of the whole fee pool. Click it to see the full table — every validator, their proven work, custody bonus, and exactly what each earned. Re-derived from the journal; every node computes the identical table.

Why this is the easy door — and why Bitcoin cannot do it

A beat is a powerless, domain-separated signature (kray.beat.submit.v1): it says only "I was here," and the reducer can never read it as a transfer or a spend — so even a hostile page could do nothing but earn ₭ for you. The proof of presence is a real SHA-256 (the Bitcoin family), the identity is a BIP-340 signature (Bitcoin's own), the clock is a Bitcoin block hash (unforgeable), and the payout is linear in proven work (Bitcoin's hashrate-share rule — a thousand fake identities earn exactly what one does). Your key never leaves your wallet. A Bitcoin or Ordinals validator must download the chain and run heavy software; here the heavy consensus lives in the full node, and presence is light by design.
